In full accordance with the strategic plan of the Ministry of Labour and Education (2017-2025) our mission is the preparation of the next generation for the world of work which requires advanced technical skills as well as soft-skills.
Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is an important investment in both types of skills needed for a new workforce. We, the Polytechnic Institute BMC efforts to transform our students towards qualified labour, experts in their fields and responsible citizens.
We are also very much aware about our social responsibility, considering our location and the economical circumstances in the region. “Leaving no one behind” is one motto of the Polytechnic Institute to provide equal chances to all students, independently from their backgrounds.
According to the Cambodian government, the current TVET system faces a gap between the supply and demand of skills, and the relevance and applicability of practical skills taught in TVET institutions.
To contribute to the development of a TVET system in Cambodia and to fill this gap, the PI is collaborating with different partners, also from abroad.
Cooperation with the private sector as well as international cooperation that is fully in line with the legal framework of the Ministry of Labour and Education.
Appropriate training conditions, the delivery capacity building an evaluation of the entire training progresses and management is seen as a permanent process and guarantees that training and studies provided are up-to date and in accordance with the labour market now and in future.
